A father to the fatherless… is God in His holy habitation. -Psalm 68:5
The cry of the fatherless is heard by God and He takes special interest in their care.
(Psalm 10:17-18 and Exodus 22:22-23)
Here at The Fatherless Cry, we count it an honor to join the Father of the Fatherless in hearing and responding to this cry.
The Fatherless Cry was founded by a group of young people who had heard the cries of orphans first hand in Sierra Leone, West Africa. We began with the goal of raising support for The Wellington Orphanage in Sierra Leone.
These orphans live, learn, and grow under the dedicated care of Rev. Hasan Mansaray and his staff. We currently assist in providing food and education to these beautiful children, aiding Rev. Mansaray and his team in preparing these young people to not only be responsible adults, but to rebuild their country both physically and spiritually in the aftermath of a torturous ten year war over the country’s vast natural resources.
Through our website, we will bring you up to date prayer requests, media, and testimonies on the exciting ways the Wellington Orphans are reaching their world for Christ.
As you hear the incredible stories of faith, hope and miracles these children witness everyday, we hope you too will be inspired to reach your world with the message of our Heavenly Father’s love… and we hope you will join us in answering the cry… the fatherless cry.
We hope to soon expand to other orphans and orphanages in need around the world. For now however, our efforts are focused on partnering with the Wellington Orphanage in providing life essentials to the war-orphans of Sierra Leone.
